EM Management Software

Overview

iSECUREtrac has its own proprietary user-friendly, web-based software. This software collects the information retrieved from iSECUREtrac's monitoring systems (e.g., Active GPS, Passive GPS, House Arrest, and Alcohol Monitoring) and gives corrections officers information and reports to support and simplify management of those individuals under electronic supervision. This software also sends notices of violations via voice alerts, text messages and e-mails to corrections personnel.

Supervising agents and officers have remote access to this software via a secure internet connection. Once logged-in, agents and officers enroll new individuals, establish or edit schedules, assign or reassign equipment type and electronic boundaries (inclusion and exclusion zones) and set notification preferences. This software also provides access to all report information and key events. Data may also be leveraged to assist law enforcement in solving criminal investigations.

Agencies using iSECUREtrac's Active or Passive GPS units can also view a participant's location and movement on interactive maps from Microsoft Virtual Earth®. The software enables the officer to view a graphical movement history of an individual and multiple windows may be used to monitor associations among remotely monitored program participants.

Web-based Access

iSECUREtrac GPS tracking systems provide for secure, remote, 100% web-based access using most any Internet-ready device such as a laptop or desktop computer. No specialized software is required. General management and system setup takes place with a Desktop PC or Laptop, which are standard equipment for most agencies, thereby eliminating the need to purchase additional hardware. Agencies log on to create and maintain enrolled individuals, develop schedules, set inclusion and exclusion zones, establish notification protocols, as well as to access all report information and key events.

Geo-Fencing and Scheduling

With iSECUREtrac's secure, web-based software application, an agency has the ability to establish boundaries via "inclusion" and "exclusion" zones, either for individual clients or entire caseload populations. This enables for flexible scheduling and curfews that are location-dependant and offers maximum flexibility to agencies as needs and programs change.

Whether it's an entire city, a city block, or a specific parcel of land, a client can be virtually "locked-down" according to the parameters set forth by the agency. Multiple zones can be created and edited, applied to one or more clients, and resized larger or smaller to best fit the needs of the agency.

Schedules can be assigned for a single day, workdays, weekends, all week, or on a "once only" case-by-case basis for inclusion and exclusion zones. It's also easy to create a zone that's an inclusion zone during certain hours of the day and an exclusion zone during others. This is especially useful for creating routines and helping the offender to follow them. Scheduling is also helpful for verifying attendance at mandatory rehabilitation sessions – crucial to long term behavior modification and full community reentry.

Notification Preferences

iSECUREtrac management software allows agencies the flexibility to change the content, delivery method and timing of alert notifications to best fit their individual needs. And they can select from one or more notification methods. User defined notifications allow the officer to receive any Key Event (violation) by fax, page or email. The agency also has the ability for the monitoring center to receive violations and follow user defined instructions for notifications. This allows agencies to instruct monitoring operators to verify that notifications are received and to follow notification escalation procedures if receipt cannot be confirmed.

For example, an officer can select from dozens of possible violations and choose to be notified for only a few. Additionally, after an officer selects violations or "key events," he can specify how he wants to be notified and how soon he wants to receive the violation alert ("immediate" is available for Active GPS).

Notification preferences can also be changed on an individual basis, e.g., if Bob Smith commits an inclusion zone violation you may not want to be notified. But, if any other individual commits an inclusion zone violation, you can elect to be notified.

Notification scheduling is also available. For example, the system could automatically page the supervising officer from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM and email the command center from 4:30 PM to 7:30 AM.

Records and Reports

Through the use of iSECUREtrac's own proprietary software, supervising agents, district supervisors and agency officers are authorized via remote access and a secured internet connection to create and maintain enrolled individuals, schedules, and inclusion and exclusion zones, establish notification protocols, as well as to access all reports and key events pertaining to monitored individuals.

The software is capable of generating several types of flexible and customizable reports. The advanced reporting features in the software allow the agency to query and sort by any field within the reports. iSECUREtrac has each offender's records accessible the entire time they are active on the system and for three months after to ensure monthly reports are not missing any archived data. After 90 days, data on inactive participants are permanently archived and accessible by request.

GPS Tracking and Maps

iSECUREtrac utilizes Microsoft's Virtual Earth® as a mapping system overlay. At a minimum, iSECUREtrac's interactive GPS maps include recognizable and easy-to-read names of countries, states, counties, cities, municipalities, landmarks, points of interest, and street names. The iSECUREtrac mapping database offers a unique animated mapping overlay that works very similar to a VCR. By simply clicking the "play" button, historical tracking data will be depicted indicating the client's travels and includes a date/time/velocity stamp for each tracking point gathered. The mapping database offers "pan controls" to slide the map and "zoom features" that are capable of providing street-level geographic information. Furthermore, a "reverse geo-code" feature can be utilized to give an approximate physical address for the tracking point.

Advanced Monitoring Functions

iSECUREtrac management software includes but is not limited to the following advanced features and functionality:

  1. On-Demand Location Updates – Each active GPS tracking unit has the ability to be located on-demand by agency personnel. Agency personnel can utilize this feature by placing a "location request" after logging on to tracNET24. The client's PTU is contacted and the monitoring center receives the up-to-date client location and all monitoring information recorded since the previous data transfer.

  2. Text Messaging Clients – Authorized agency personnel can send pages to clients enrolled in active GPS tracking at any time. Once logged into the system, and after selecting a client, personnel can select the "PageNow" function. Personnel are able to send personalized pages to the client by entering up to two lines of text. Pages are displayed on the PTU's LCD screen and are accompanied by audible beeps to alert the client.

  3. Crime Scene Inquiry – This feature cross-references client movement data with crime locations. iSECUREtrac's software has the ability to present mapping and monitoring information for all enrolled clients in the said vicinity at the time, enabling the officer to research multiple clients simultaneously. Additionally, iSECUREtrac GPS tracking databases can be manipulated for cooperation with future nationwide crime correlation software/systems. iSECUREtrac's correlation feature also enables agency personnel to research historical client patterns and locate "hotspots" frequented by enrolled clients. Such research can provide authorities with additional information, possibly leading to the arrest of other criminals and increasing public safety.

  4. Estimating Distance – This tool enables users to select any two locations on the map and calculate the straight line distance between the two. Measurements are displayed in both feet and miles. This tool is useful in quickly determining distances between tracking points, points of interest, or a combination of both. Users can also select locations by typing in addresses, which may be preferable when comparing distances from physical addresses that are off-limits according to federal/state/local laws.

  5. Command Center Module – Included within the software is the Command Center Module for event (alert alarms) viewing, status, resolution, and notification processing from any specified monitoring facility and agent. This is a special support module specifically designed for those customers who utilize a 24-hour monitoring/dispatch center. This system allows for agency electronic monitoring personnel to set, change, or adjust the transmission and distribution of alert alarms. The module offers multilayered support for a dispatch/command center or direct agent client monitoring, or a combination thereof with time or client-specific monitoring and notification and control variables. All user access to the system is recorded and all case handling and information changes are documented for future reference if needed.

The Command Center Support Module supports multi-officer access to set up and manage all aspects of a client's personal information, monitoring compliance requirements, multi-officer management of alert alarms and escalation procedures that can be set specific to the agency's needs.

  6. Client Picture – Agency personnel also have the option of including a photo of the client on the offender information page and on the offender snapshot menu. This is useful for rapidly identifying the client, especially when supervision is shared between multiple officers.

  7. Drag to Pan – Users don't have to click a button to pan the map up, down, or sideways. The user can simply click anywhere on the map, hold the mouse button, and drag the map in the desired direction. This is an improvement over the traditional "hunt and peck" method of clicking a pan button only to find that it moved the map too far. Users have precise control.

  8. Satellite Overlays – Our software's ability to display satellite images simultaneously with GPS tracking animation enhances an agency's depth of knowledge for every point of interest. For example, agency personnel will be able to determine if an area represented on the map is a parking lot or a lawn. Maps, by themselves, are limited to displaying only streets and large buildings. Satellite images show detail.
